Sumi-e Paintings
Sumi-e literially translates as 'Ink painting' . It's an Asian brush painting art that is trying to capture the essence & soul of a scene or object in the fewest possible strokes.
Sumi-e may not be confused with Calligraphy. Although they do use the same tools , often referred to as the four treasures :

- ink stick
- brush
- appropriate kind of paper
